Big jobs. Real results. Chosen by the people who build them.
Every year, at our Annual Meeting, we award those people and projects that are truly outstanding. A great example of this is our 2025 Large Project of the Year is TDOT Phase III SR 317 (Apison Pike) Reconstruction.
This project reconstructed and widened 3.1 miles of Apison Pike from Ooltewah Ringgold Road to east of Layton Lane, including the construction of five bridges. The project improves the connection between the Chattanooga suburbs of Ooltewah, Collegedale, and Apison.
Our award winners are chosen by employees, who vote on a slate of nominated projects. That means this project didn’t just look good on paper. It earned respect in the field.
