Another milestone on I-65 in Alabama: the final bridge deck pour is complete!
Our team recently placed 244 cubic yards of concrete with two pump trucks to complete the final deck pour, working through the night on our portion of the Alabama Department of Transportation - ALDOT I-65 widening project in Calera.
A pour like this takes careful planning, coordination and a crew ready to execute when it’s time to go. Working through the night alongside live interstate traffic, our team delivered. We’re grateful for the hard work of everyone who had a hand in reaching this milestone and for the long hours our crews continue to put into this project.
Wright Brothers is working as part of the Dunn Construction team on ALDOT’s larger effort to widen approximately eight miles of I-65 through Shelby County, from Calera to Alabaster. The overall project will expand the interstate from four to six lanes and replace eight bridges along this busy corridor.
