Construction Safety Week continued across several of our operations this week, with crews in North Carolina, Chattanooga and East Tennessee taking time to focus on the most important part of the job: making sure everyone goes home safe.
Our North Carolina teams, Chattanooga asphalt crews, and industrial construction crews in Loudon and Charleston gathered for additional safety stand-downs and discussions centered around heat stress awareness, incident prevention, maintaining strong safety records, and reinforcing the daily habits that protect our people in the field.
These conversations matter because safety is not something addressed once a year or only after something goes wrong. In heavy civil, asphalt, and industrial work, conditions change constantly. Good communication, situational awareness, and looking out for one another remain some of the most effective tools we have.
We appreciate our partners at White Cap , NSI Industries and Occumed1 for supporting these events and spending time with our crews throughout the week.
Construction Safety Week may put extra focus on these discussions, but the expectation to work safely remains the same every day on every project.
