With the now-completed, $328 million, seven-year project serving as a backdrop, officials celebrated the opening of the reconstructed interchange with a ceremony Friday morning atop the Belvoir Avenue bridge. This project was the state’s first major use of the design-build delivery method, combining elements of design and construction into a single contract. All lanes and ramps were opened to traffic in March.
