Nice work, John and Aaron!

Nice work, John and Aaron!

ometimes the best way to show what our equipment can do is to give our team a challenge that’s a little outside the ordinary.
ATS The Bridge recently reached out to Wright Industrial Group for help with The Drop Initiative, its newest drug-prevention campaign serving students at Bradley County Schools and Cleveland City Schools. As part of the campaign, ATS needed durable stencils that could be used at home football games.
Our fabrication team took it from there. CAD Specialist John Williford adapted The Drop Initiative artwork into a design that could be cut from steel on our CNC plasma table, and Aaron Palmer brought it to life.
The CNC plasma table is normally used to precisely cut steel plate for structures fabricated in our shop. Designs are programmed into the machine, allowing it to make highly detailed, accurate cuts that help our fabrication team achieve precise fit-up. In this case, that same technology produced a custom stencil built to withstand repeated use throughout football season.
It’s a unique project, but a great example of the technology, craftsmanship and creativity behind the work happening every day at Wright Industrial Group. It's also an opportunity to use those capabilities to support an important initiative in our own community.
Nice work, John and Aaron!
