Intern Riley West is gaining hands-on experience this summer on one of our bridge construction projects in Alabama.

Riley is pursuing her B.S. in Civil Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville . She is pictured here with Veronica Perez and Ian Henry of our Alternative Delivery Engineering team, whom she is assisting this summer.

“I was able to learn more about the site through hands-on practice, such as monitoring concrete strength tests, watching pours, overseeing rebar installation and learning to operate a crane. A HUGE thank you to all the PMs and workers for showing us around!”

We’re glad to have Riley on the Wright Brothers team and to give future engineers a firsthand look at how projects come together in the field.
