What an exciting Thursday at the WeBuild! Girls Construction Camp, hosted by the Rutherford Housing Partnership Inc! We had so much fun giving campers the opportunity to learn about heavy equipment and experience operating an excavator firsthand.
•
The five-day camp gives rising 4th through 7th grade girls the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and experience the world of construction through hands-on activities, project building, teamwork, and problem solving in an encouraging all-girls environment designed to build confidence and leadership skills.
•
Judging by the smiles on these faces, we'd say there may be a few future operators, superintendents, engineers, and project managers in the making.
•
Investing in the next generation of builders matters to us, especially in communities where we live and work. Wright Brothers currently has a growing presence in Rutherford County, including our work on the North Carolina Department of Transportation US 221 Bypass Project, and we're excited to support programs that introduce young people to the opportunities available in our industry.

Thank you to Rutherford Housing Partnership for inviting us to be part of such a great week! A big shoutout to Tanya Ball, Mason Haneline and Mike Morningstar for coordinating and participating in this event for Wright Brothers.
